Weili Chan

Email: weili.chan@uq.net.au

After completing a double major in chemistry and marine biology at UQ, Weili is continuing her passion for integrating different aspects of science with her current research in chemical ecology. Specifically, Weili focuses on how different groups of nudibranchs employ different strategies for protection against predators. This includes using chemical techniques to elucidate specific compounds extracted from previously unstudied nudibranch species, conducting ecological assays with potential nudibranch predators, and also utilizing advanced imaging techniques to understand how defensive compounds are spatially distributed in nudibranchs.
